My plumber used a 2" pipe for the main drain. Is that to code?
A 2" pipe is undersized for a building drain serving a full bathroom. The OBC sets a minimum size by fixture load.
Do the new basement outlets need GFCI protection?
Receptacles in unfinished basements and near sinks need GFCI protection under the OBC and the Electrical Safety Code. Worth confirming before the drywall goes up.
Is my new deck ledger flashed and fastened correctly?
Ledger attachment and flashing are the most common deck failure. The code sets the fastener type, spacing and a flashing detail.
