A farming zone for very large rural lots (at least 40 hectares with 100 m of frontage) where agriculture, one single detached house and farm-related accessory uses are allowed.

Other provisions in this section
- Uses marked (1) in Table 12-2 (community garden, accessory agriculture dwelling, agri-tourism, bed and breakfast, home industry, home occupation, intermodal container, seasonal farm stand, secondary suite, short-term rental) are subject to the specific use provisions of Part 5 of the By-law.
- Agri-tourism is not permitted on a lot subject to the Oak Ridges Moraine Suffix Zone (-ORM) (Table 12-2 note 2).
- Where a lot is within the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan area (Schedule A), the minimum interior side yard is 15.0 m instead of 9 m (Table 12-3 note 2).
- Where a lot is subject to the -ORM suffix zone (Schedule A), maximum lot coverage is 5% instead of 10% (Table 12-3 note 3).
- Not permitted in the A zone (blank in Table 12-2): driving range, golf course, active recreational use, cemetery, park, decommissioning activities (former landfill).
- Table 12-3 note 1 (no minimum lot frontage for passive recreation or public-authority uses) applies only to OS zones, not the A zone.
