OS zone, Caledon: Open Space
Section 12 – Open Space Zones, Tables 12.1 and 12.2 (Subsections 12.2 and 12.3) of the Town of Caledon Zoning By-law 2006-50.
The Open Space zone is for parks, golf courses, camping grounds, cemeteries, conservation and similar recreational or natural uses, with only an accessory dwelling unit permitted as housing.

Other provisions in this section
- All yards (front, rear, interior and exterior side): minimum 7.5 m (Table 12.2 states a single 'All Yards' standard).
- Maximum building area: the greater of 10% or 20 m² (Table 12.2, footnote 1).
- Minimum building separation: 3 m.
- Minimum dwelling unit area: 55 m².
- Minimum driveway setback, fully serviced lot: nil, except 3 m where a side lot line abuts a residential zone (Table 12.2).
- Minimum driveway setback, other lots: 1.5 m, except 4.5 m where a side lot line abuts a residential zone (Table 12.2).
- Minimum parking space setback from any street line: 4.5 m from a lot line abutting a residential zone; 1.5 m from any other lot line.
- Section 12.1: all uses and buildings must also comply with the General Provisions in Section 4 and the Parking, Loading and Delivery Standards in Section 5.
- Table 12.1 footnote (1) (ORM Countryside Area restriction, Schedule E / Official Plan Schedule P) applies to the OS-ORM zone column; no footnote marker is shown against the OS uses.
- A separate OS-ORM (Open Space – Oak Ridges Moraine) zone exists in Section 12 and is not covered by this record.
