U3 zone, Hamilton: Parking (U3) Zone
Section 13.3 (13.3.1 Permitted Uses; 13.3.2 Regulations) of the City of Hamilton Zoning By-law 05-200, as amended by 17-240, 19-062.
A zone for municipal or private parking lots and parking structures, where an urban farmers market is also allowed; buildings must sit close to the street and keep extra distance and planting strips from neighbouring homes.

Other provisions in this section
- Building setback from a street line: minimum 1.5 m and maximum 3.0 m for the first storey, except where a visibility triangle is required for a driveway setback (By-law 19-062).
- Minimum distance of a parking gate from the street: 7.0 m.
- Minimum distance of on and off ramps from the street line: 7.0 m.
- Planting strip: a minimum 3.0 m wide planting strip must be provided and maintained along all rear and interior side lot lines abutting a Residential or Institutional Zone or a lot containing a residential use, except at points of ingress and egress.
- Lighting: every lighting facility must be designed, installed and maintained so light is deflected away from Residential, Institutional, Downtown (D5), Downtown (D6), Transit Oriented Corridor, Residential Character Commercial (C1), Mixed Use High (C4), Mixed Use Medium (C5) and Mixed Use Medium Pedestrian Focus (C5a) Zones.
- Visual barrier required along any side or rear lot line abutting a Residential Zone, Institutional Zone, Downtown (D5) Zone or Residential Character Commercial (C1) Zone, per Section 4.19 (By-law 19-062).
- No outdoor storage of goods, materials or equipment is permitted.
- Accessory buildings per Section 4.8 (13.3.3).
- Parking per Section 5 (13.3.4).
