  • Table 9.3 note 1: on a corner lot at the intersection of two arterial roads, two collector roads, or an arterial and a collector road, for a new building or an addition of floor area in the front or flankage yard to a building legally existing on the By-law's effective date, the maximum front or flankage yard is 10.0 m for the first 33% of the length of the front and flankage lot lines measured from their point of intersection (or the intersection of their projections) (2015-018, 2017-025).
  • Section 9.4 Main Wall Proportions (new buildings only, not additions to buildings legally existing on the effective date): at least 35% of the length of all main walls oriented toward the front lot line must be within the area between the minimum and maximum front yards; at least 35% of the length of all main walls oriented toward the flankage lot line must be within the area between the minimum and maximum flankage yards.
  • Table 9.2 note 1: day care, drive-through facility and private school are permitted only on a lot abutting a major arterial road.
  • Table 9.2 note 4: place of worship - maximum lot area 2.5 ha; a place of worship may occupy at most 50% of the total net floor area on the lot.
  • Table 9.2 note 7: emergency shelter is prohibited on the first storey of a building (PL240317 / PL140317).
  • Uses not permitted in C1 (Table 9.2): commercial parking area, dry cleaning/laundry establishment, funeral home, motor vehicle repair facility, motor vehicle service station, motor vehicle washing facility, outside miniature golf, place of entertainment, rental establishment, retail propane and transfer facility.
