- Table 8.2 fn 1: stand-alone residential buildings not permitted on lots with a front or flankage lot line abutting Lakeshore Road; first-storey residential units must have their main front entrance oriented to a public road (2021-068).
- Table 8.2 fn 2: detached, semi-detached, townhouse and live-work dwellings permitted only where the use legally existed on the lot on the effective date of the by-law.

- s.8.6(b): on a lot in a Mixed Use Zone on Map 19(19a), maximum surface parking area coverage is 50%.
- s.8.6(c): notwithstanding s.5.8.2, on a lot with lot frontage of 15.0 m or more, maximum driveway width for a detached, semi-detached or townhouse dwelling is 6.0 m (2015-018).
- s.8.6(d): parking of motor vehicles is prohibited in all storeys of an above-grade parking structure for the first 9.0 m of building depth measured from the main wall facing Lakeshore Road West, Lakeshore Road East, Kerr Street, Randall Street, Old Bronte Road, Oak Park Boulevard or Khalsa Gate (2015-018).
- s.8.6(e): on a corner lot, a driveway to a parking structure crossing a flankage lot line must be set back at least 9.0 m from the main wall of the parking structure facing the front lot line (2015-018).
- s.8.6(f): the minimum first storey height in Table 8.3.1 does not apply to parts of the first storey of a parking structure occupied solely by parking area (2015-018).
- s.8.7: nothing in Part 8 limits uses above grade where a basement is used for storage accessory to a permitted use in the same building (2015-018).
- s.8.8: for new buildings built after the effective date, at least 75% of the length of all main walls facing the front lot line must be within the area defined by the minimum and maximum front yards, and at least 75% of main walls facing the flankage lot line within the minimum and maximum flankage yards; does not apply to additions to legally existing buildings.
