Other provisions in this section

  • Only permitted uses in the FD Zone are uses legally existing as of the effective date of the By-law (Table 13-2 note 3); all other uses listed in Table 13-2 (retirement residence, golf course, public parking, restaurant, retail, cemetery, community facility, community garden, day care centre, emergency service, hospital, long term care facility, place of worship, public uses, school, urban square, intermodal facility, stormwater management facility) are not permitted.
  • All requirements of the By-law apply to the FD Zone, including applicable General Provisions (Part 4) and Parking, Loading and Stacking Requirements (Part 6) (Table 13-2 note 3).
  • Temporary sales office is subject to the specific use provisions of Part 5 (Table 13-2 note 1).
  • Minimum landscape strip abutting a street line: no requirement (Table 13-3).
  • Minimum landscape strip along any interior side or rear lot line abutting a Residential Zone or the Open Space Zone: no requirement (Table 13-3).
  • Table 13-2 note 2 (500.0 m2 combined maximum GFA for retail and restaurant uses per lot) is not flagged against any FD use, since retail and restaurant are not permitted in FD.
