Section 12.1.2, Table 12.1.2 of the City of Mississauga Zoning By-law 0225-2007, as amended by 0050-2013/LPAT Order 2020 June 08.

A zone for utility facilities such as utility buildings, water and sewage treatment plants and electrical transformer stations, with minimum setbacks and landscaped buffers around the site.

Other provisions in this section

  • All buildings and structures must also comply with Parts 1 to 3 and Subsection 12.1.1 of the By-law.
  • Minimum landscaped buffer depth from a lot line abutting a Residential Zone: 6.0 m (see 2.1.25).
  • Minimum landscaped buffer depth from a lot line that is a street line: 4.5 m (see 2.1.25).
  • Minimum landscaped buffer depth from a lot line abutting an Institutional, Office, Commercial, Downtown Core or Buffer Zone (or combination): 3.0 m (see 2.1.25).
  • Minimum landscaped buffer depth from a lot line abutting an Employment, Utility or Airport Zone (or combination): 0.0 m.
  • Minimum landscaped buffer depth from any other lot line: 4.5 m (see 2.1.25).
  • Subsection 2.1.25: a landscaped buffer abutting a sight triangle (or a 0.3 m reserve abutting one) may be reduced to 0.0 m, and no buffer is required along a shared property line portion where a driveway, aisle or parking area is shared with abutting lands.
  • Subsection 2.1.17: minimum setback of all buildings, structures, parking areas, driveways, loading spaces, paved areas and outdoor storage to lands zoned G1 or G2 is the greater of 5.0 m or the required yard/setback.
  • Site-specific exception zones U-1 through U-8 exist (Section 12.1.3); refer to Article 1.1.2.3 and the exception zone schedules.
