- Table 10.3: maximum front yard 17.5 m and maximum flankage yard 17.5 m (both subject to fn 1); s.10.5 main-wall proportions depend on the band between the minimum and maximum front/flankage yards.
- Table 10.2 fn 2: food production, manufacturing, repair shop and warehousing are permitted only where the use legally existed on the lot on the effective date of the By-law.
- Table 10.2 fn 3: accessory retail store and showroom limited to the lesser of 15% of the net floor area of the main use or 250.0 m2; must be within the same premises as the associated use and separated from it by a permanent solid floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall partition including closed doors.
- Table 10.2 fn 5: art gallery, day care, drive-through, dry cleaning depot, financial institution, place of worship, restaurant, retail store and service commercial establishment are permitted only within the same building as another use not subject to fn 5, and all such uses together may occupy at most 20% of the building's total net floor area.

- s.10.5: for new buildings in E1, at least 35% of the length of main walls facing the front lot line must lie within the band between the minimum and maximum front yards, and at least 35% of main walls facing the flankage lot line within the band between the minimum and maximum flankage yards; does not apply to additions to buildings existing on the effective date.
- s.10.6: outside processing, outside storage and heavy vehicle parking areas are not permitted uses in E1 (Table 10.2); where permitted in other employment zones they must be in an interior side or rear yard set back 3.5 m from any lot line, not in any yard abutting a Residential, Institutional or Community Use Zone, and materials stacked over 1.8 m only in a rear yard or between two buildings.
