Other provisions in this section
- Minimum lot area is stated as 0.2 ha (= 2,000 m²) in Table 10.3.
- Maximum front yard and maximum flankage yard: n/a, except on a corner lot at the intersection of two arterial/collector roads, where for a new building or a front/flankage-yard addition the maximum front or flankage yard is 10.0 m for the first 33% of the length of the front and flankage lot lines measured from their intersection (Table 10.3 note 1, 2017-025).
- Rooftop mechanical equipment and mechanical penthouses over 2.0 m high are not permitted within 23.0 m of a Residential Low, Institutional (I) or Community Use (CU) Zone boundary (Table 10.3 note 3b).
- s.10.4 Gatehouses: a gatehouse may be located in any required yard if it is no more than 3.0 m high and 5.0 m² in floor area.
- s.10.5 Main wall proportions apply only to the Office Employment (E1) Zone, not E3.
- s.10.6(a) Outside processing, outside storage and heavy vehicle parking areas are permitted only in an interior side yard or rear yard and must be set back 3.5 m from any lot line.
- s.10.6(b) Maximum area coverage for those outside uses in E3: 50% of the lot area where the lot is set back more than 100.0 m from a railway corridor; no maximum where within 100.0 m of a railway corridor; no maximum where accessory to an emergency service facility or public works yard.
- s.10.6(c) Outside processing/storage/heavy vehicle parking are not permitted in any yard abutting a Residential, Institutional (I) or Community Use (CU) Zone boundary.
- s.10.6(d) On a lot over 100.0 ha used for manufacturing motor vehicles, those outside uses are permitted in any yard notwithstanding (a) and (b).
- s.10.6(e) Storage of damaged, impounded or inoperable motor vehicles is prohibited as outside storage except with a motor vehicle storage compound or salvage yard.
- s.10.6(f) Materials stored cumulatively higher than 1.8 m may only be located in a rear yard or between two buildings on the same lot.
- Table 10.2 footnote 17 (applies to other zones): certain uses are not permitted within 120.0 m of an Industrial (E3) Zone (PL140317).
