G2 zone, Mississauga: Greenlands - Natural Features
Part 10, Section 10.2.1, Table 10.2.1 of the City of Mississauga Zoning By-law 0225-2007, as amended by 0379-2009.
G2 is a Greenlands zone for natural heritage features such as woodlands, wetlands and other natural areas; the only permitted uses are a natural protection area and natural heritage features and areas conservation, with accessory trails, fences and permeable parking areas allowed under Section 10.1.

- Table 10.2.1 does not check flood control, stormwater management or erosion management in the G2 column; those rows are not G2 permitted uses.
- All buildings and structures must comply with Parts 1 and 2 and Section 10.1 of the by-law (Section 10.2.1); Table 10.2.1 contains no lot, setback, height or coverage standards for G2.
- Trails are permitted accessory to natural heritage features and areas conservation (10.1.1.1).
- A fence is permitted accessory to a natural protection area and natural heritage features and areas conservation, to prevent encroachment from abutting land uses and establish property boundaries (10.1.1.3).
- Parking areas are permitted accessory to natural heritage features and areas conservation and may be built of permeable material to minimize impacts on the natural environment (10.1.1.4, by-law 0208-2022).
- A passive recreational use is permitted accessory to a stormwater management facility (10.1.1.2) - applies to G1 and G2 zones generally, though stormwater management itself is not a G2 permitted use.
- Setbacks onto G2 land from neighbouring zones: buildings, structures, parking areas and swimming pools in Residential Zones must be set back the greater of 5.0 m or the required yard/setback from lands zoned G1 or G2 Base Zone (4.1.8.1, 0179-2018); pool setback measured from the inside wall of the pool to a G1/G2 Base or Exception Zone (4.1.8.2). Buildings and structures in non-residential zones: greater of 5.0 m or the required yard/setback to G1 or G2 Base Zone or G1 Exception Zones; parking areas, driveways, loading spaces, other paved areas and outdoor storage in non-residential zones: greater of 5.0 m or the required yard/setback to G1 or G2 Base Zone (Table 2.1.17.1, 0297-2013/0179-2018). Encroachments and projections are not permitted into a minimum required setback to a Greenlands Zone (4.1.5.6, 0144-2016).
- Six site-specific exception zones exist: G2-1 to G2-6 (Section 10.2.3; see Article 1.1.2.3).
