OS3 zone, Mississauga: Open Space - Cemetery

Section 9.2.1, Table 9.2.1 of the City of Mississauga Zoning By-law 0225-2007, as amended by 0379-2009, 0018-2021.

The OS3 zone is for cemeteries, with buildings kept at least 7.5 m from any lot line (15 m from a neighbouring residential zone) and no taller than 10.7 m.

  • All buildings and structures must also comply with Parts 1 to 3 and Section 9.1 (General Provisions for Open Space Zones) of the By-law.
  • Section 9.1.2: an office and a maintenance/storage building or structure for a cemetery are permitted as accessory to a cemetery.
  • Passive recreational use, active recreational use and stormwater management facility are listed in Table 9.2.1 but are not marked as permitted in the OS3 column.
  • Section 9.2.4: seven site-specific exception zones exist (OS3-1 to OS3-7); refer to Article 1.1.2.3 and the applicable exception schedule.
