- s.6.8 Outside storage: only merchandise displayed for retail sale (not stored in a truck, trailer or vehicle); perishable waste in refrigerated storage inside a building or in a sealed, lockable, primarily below-grade deep collection system; non-perishable waste stored outside on lands abutting a residential zone must be within a solid screen enclosure per Part 1, s.2.2.3.
- s.6.9(a) Parking per Part 1, Subsection 2.25 (Off-Street Parking and Loading Requirements).
- s.6.9(b) Visitor parking not required where a permitted freestanding residential use shares the lot with a permitted non-residential use comprising at least 30% of the lot area.
- s.6.9(c) Parking of trucks and trailers prohibited except while loading/unloading, for customer use, belonging to a property owner or tenant, or used for charitable purposes.
- s.6.9(d) In a CC1 zone, parking areas shall contain a maximum of 190 parking spaces and be separated from adjoining parking areas by a 3 m landscape area; that landscape area may contain a 2.0 m wide parallel walkway if the landscape area is at least 4.5 m wide; where more than one parking area is required the average parking area size shall be 150 spaces; connecting driveways may cross a landscape area.
- s.6.10 Contiguous lots developed under a single comprehensive site plan are deemed one lot for applying zoning regulations.
- s.6.11 Amenity area: minimum 20 m2 per unit where dwelling units are on the second or third floors above commercial uses.
- s.6.12 Fencing: on lands abutting a residential zone, a fence at least 1.8 m high along the common boundary (solid screen fence or chain-link plus landscape planting forming a dense year-round screen).
- s.3 Prohibited uses (in addition to Part 1, s.2.22): parking lot, taxi cab garage, recreational vehicle/utility trailer sales & service, adult entertainment establishment.
- Uses not permitted in CC1 per Table 4.2.1: flea market, large building supplies/garden store, large furniture and appliance store, warehouse club, motor vehicle service station, video game/pinball arcade, night club, GE2 industrial uses.
- s.1 General: subject to Part 1 (General Conditions and Provisions) and Part 14 (Exceptions to Zone Designations); an 'H' holding prefix defers development until removed per Part 11, ss.1.1-1.2.
