Other provisions in this section
- Table 8-5 standards apply to 'all other uses'; in the WMS Zone a block townhouse dwelling or multiple-unit townhouse dwelling must meet the RM1 Zone lot and building requirements (s.8.3.2(1)), and a street townhouse dwelling must meet the RT1 or RT2 Zone requirements, as applicable (s.8.3.2(2)).
- Maximum front yard: 6 m (Table 8-5); note 1: the lesser of 6 m or the existing condition on the effective date of the By-law.
- Maximum exterior side yard: 4.5 m (Table 8-5). No minimum exterior side yard is stated.
- Minimum building height: 8 m (Table 8-5).
- Minimum floor space index: no requirement ('-').
- Surface parking is permitted only in the rear yard (Table 8-5, Specified Parking Area Requirements).
- Minimum 3 m wide landscape strip required along an interior side lot line or rear lot line abutting a Residential Zone or an Open Space Zone (Table 8-5).
- Apartment, block townhouse, multiple-unit townhouse and street townhouse dwellings are not permitted within the ground floor frontage of the lot, except that up to 15% of the ground floor frontage may be used for lobby or common areas for those uses (Table 8-4 note 4).
- Business service, financial institution, health and fitness centre, personal service, pet services establishment, restaurant, take-out restaurant, retail, convenience retail, service or repair shop, supermarket and theatre: maximum combined gross floor area of 10,000.0 m2 per lot (Table 8-4 note 5).
- Uses marked with note 1 (micro-manufacturing, independent living facility, community garden, place of worship, home occupation, outdoor display area, outdoor patio, seasonal outdoor display area, secondary suite, short-term rental, temporary sales office) are subject to the specific use provisions of Part 5.
- Single detached dwelling and agriculture are permitted only if legally existing and used on the lot on the effective date of the By-law ('E').
- Bed and breakfast is not permitted in the WMS Zone.
