Other provisions in this section

  • Minimum yard of 6.0 m from any portion of a property lot line abutting a property lot line within a Residential Zone (9.8.3 c); heading also references Rural Zone).
  • No minimum rear or interior side yard is stated except where abutting a Residential/Rural Zone (6.0 m).
  • Built form for new development: minimum length of the ground floor façade shall be 60% or more of the front lot line measurement (9.8.3 f).
  • Landscaped area: minimum 6.0 m wide strip abutting a street, except at points of ingress and egress; shall not include outdoor display (9.8.3 g i).
  • Where a lot line abuts a property lot line within a Residential Zone or Institutional Zone, a minimum 3.0 m wide planting strip is required (9.8.3 g ii).
  • Visual barrier required along any portion of a property lot line abutting a Residential Zone, per Section 4.19 (9.8.3 h).
  • Parking per Section 5 of the By-law (9.8.3 i).
  • Accessory buildings per Section 4.8 of the By-law (9.8.3 j).
  • Outdoor Storage is prohibited, even as an accessory use (9.8.2 i).
  • Agricultural Greenhouse permitted only as an accessory use to another permitted use (9.8.2 ii).
  • Commercial Recreation (restricted to a Fitness Centre) and Personal Service are prohibited except as an accessory use to another permitted use (9.8.2 iii).
  • Maximum building height is also governed by Section 4.17: Transport Canada Hamilton Airport Zoning (Height) Regulations; no projections permitted beyond that maximum.
