- Maximum dwelling depth 20.0 m (Table 6.3.1); footnote 1: a single-storey extension no more than 7.5 m high may extend an additional 3.0 m into the rear yard provided 9.0 m interior side yards and flankage yards are established on both sides of the extension.
- -0 Suffix Zone: where lands are shown on the Part 19 Maps as -0 Suffix, the regulations of s.6.4 override the parent zone (Table 6.3.1 footnote -0).
- -0 Suffix RFA calculation (s.6.4.1): floor area on an attic level is measured from the exterior face of the knee wall; attic space sharing a wall with a permitted storey and exceeding 1.8 m headroom is counted in full; an attached garage on a multi-storey dwelling is counted if the garage structure is 6.0 m or higher and the floor area directly above it is less than 25% of the garage floor area.
- -0 Suffix main wall proportionality (s.6.4.4): for new buildings, at least 50% of the length of main walls facing the front lot line must lie between the minimum and maximum front yards; does not apply to additions to buildings legally existing on the effective date.
- -0 Suffix (s.6.4.5): balconies and uncovered platforms are prohibited above the first-storey floor level.
- Accessory buildings (s.6.5): must be on the same lot as the primary use and not used for human habitation or an occupation for gain; minimum yards same as the dwelling, except 0.6 m from any lot line when in a flankage or rear yard and at least 2.0 m from the dwelling; maximum height 4.0 m from grade, reduced to 2.5 m where less than 3.5 m from a flankage lot line; maximum coverage the greater of 5% of lot area or 42.0 m² building area, additional to the dwelling's coverage (not additional in -0 Suffix zones).
- Day cares (s.6.7): permitted only where the front or flankage lot line abuts an arterial or major collector road; minimum interior side yard 4.2 m; driveway in a front or flankage yard max 6.0 m wide plus an additional 5.7 m of continuous hard surface (notwithstanding s.5.8.2(b),(c)); playground equipment 1.8 m or taller set back 5.0 m from all lot lines, shorter equipment 2.0 m.
- Parking structures (s.6.9): no vehicle storage for repair; no setback required for portions no more than 1.37 m above the nearest lot line elevation, except 1.0 m where abutting a Residential Zone; ventilator shafts set back 3.5 m from any lot line.
- s.6.10 (2021-068): for semi-detached, townhouse, back-to-back and stacked townhouse blocks and common element condominiums, the whole lot/block (or proposed lots/parcels of tied land) is used to determine zoning compliance until lot lines are formally established.
- Table 6.3.1 footnotes 3-8 (corner lot 285.0 m²/12.5 m, 1.2 m side yard with attached garage, 3.5 m corner rear yard, 355.0 m² / 75% RFA cap, 0.7 m daylight triangle setback) are not referenced in the RL1 column and do not apply to RL1.
- s.6.8 parking regulations apply only to the RUC zone, not RL1.
