- Table 6.3.8 values shown are the RM2 column for back-to-back townhouse dwellings, the only dwelling type permitted in RM2 (Table 6.2.2).
- Minimum separation distance between buildings containing dwelling units: 2.4 m (Table 6.3.8).
- Minimum setback from a daylight triangle: 0.7 m (Table 6.3.8 footnote 1, 2016-013).
- Table 6.2.2 footnote 1: a maximum of one of day care, private home daycare or short-term accommodation is permitted in a dwelling or an attached/detached additional residential unit associated with the main dwelling (2023-024, 2024-111).
- s.6.10(a) (2021-068): proposed rear lot lines within a lot or block designated for back-to-back townhouse units are deemed the rear lot lines for zoning purposes until formally established.
- s.6.10(b): the entirety of the lot or block designated for semi-detached, townhouse, back-to-back townhouse and stacked townhouse dwellings is used to determine compliance with zoning regulations.
- s.6.10(c): for a common element condominium, zoning regulations apply to the proposed parcels of tied land until formally established.
- s.6.5.2 accessory buildings/structures: minimum yards same as the dwelling, except 0.6 m from any lot line when located in a flankage or rear yard with at least 2.0 m separation from the dwelling; maximum height 4.0 m from grade, reduced to 2.5 m where less than 3.5 m from a flankage lot line; maximum lot coverage the greater of 5% of lot area or 42.0 m² of building area, additional to the dwelling's lot coverage (2021-068).
- s.6.5.1: accessory buildings must be on the same lot as the primary use and may not be used for human habitation or an occupation for gain unless otherwise permitted.
- s.6.6 (2015-079): a dwelling erected between legally existing dwellings on the same block whose averaged front yards are less than the zone minimum may use the average of the front yards of the nearest dwelling on each side.
- s.6.7 day cares: permitted only where the front or flankage lot line abuts an arterial or major collector road (2015-079); minimum interior side yard 4.2 m; maximum driveway width in front/flankage yard 6.0 m plus an additional 5.7 m of continuous hard surface (notwithstanding s.5.8.2(b),(c)); playground equipment 1.8 m or taller set back 5.0 m from all lot lines, shorter equipment 2.0 m.
- s.6.9 parking structures: vehicle storage for repair prohibited; no setbacks required for portions no more than 1.37 m above the nearest lot line elevation, except 1.0 m where abutting a Residential Zone and 3.5 m for ventilator shafts.
- s.6.4 -0 Suffix Zone provisions (residential floor area ratio Table 6.4.1, lot coverage Table 6.4.2, front yard rules, 2 storeys / 9.0 m max) apply only to lands with the -0 suffix and are written for detached dwellings.
- s.6.8 (RUC parking regulations) applies to the Residential Uptown Core Zone only, not RM2.
