A semi-detached house zone where the minimum lot width is set by the number after "R2D-" on the zoning map (for example R2D-7.5 means 7.5 metres per unit).

Other provisions in this section

  • The -x suffix (e.g. R2D-7.2, R2D-7.5, R2D-8.5) on Schedule A is the minimum interior lot width in metres; lot area per unit is 30 times that width.
  • (k)(1) No garage shall project into the front yard more than 1.5 metres beyond a porch or front wall of a dwelling.
  • (k)(2) No garage shall face the flankage lot line.
  • (k)(3) Maximum cumulative garage door width for an attached garage: 2.5 m if the dwelling unit lot width is less than 8.2 m; 3.1 m if 8.2 m or more but less than 9.2 m; 3.7 m if 9.2 m or more.
  • (k)(4) Maximum interior garage width of an attached garage is 0.6 metres wider than the permitted maximum cumulative garage door width.
  • (l) Driveway width shall not exceed the width of the garage.
  • (m) When abutting a TransCanada Pipe Line right-of-way the minimum building setback is 10 metres.
  • (n) A balcony or porch may project into the minimum front yard by a maximum of 1.8 metres including eaves and cornices.
  • (o) An accessory building shall have a minimum setback of 0.6 metres to a rear yard lot line or an interior side yard lot line.
