Other provisions in this section

  • The x suffix (e.g. R3E-6, R3E-6.1, R3E-7.5 on Schedule A) is the minimum interior lot width in metres; no fixed number applies to all R3E lands.
  • Garage control (k)(1): no garage shall project into the front yard more than 1.5 m beyond a porch or front wall of a dwelling.
  • Garage control (k)(2): no garage shall face the flankage lot line.
  • Garage control (k)(3): maximum cumulative garage door width is 2.5 m if the dwelling unit lot width is less than 8.2 m; 3.1 m if 8.2 m or more but less than 9.2 m; 3.7 m if 9.2 m or more.
  • Garage control (k)(4): maximum interior garage width shall be 0.6 m wider than the permitted maximum cumulative garage door width.
  • Driveway width (l): the driveway width shall not exceed the width of the garage.
  • Other setbacks (m): when abutting a TransCanada Pipe Line right-of-way the minimum building setback shall be 10 m.
  • Encroachment (n): a balcony or porch may project into the minimum front yard by a maximum of 1.8 m including eaves and cornices.
  • Accessory buildings (o): an accessory building shall have a minimum setback of 0.6 m to a rear yard lot line or an interior side yard lot line.
