Other provisions in this section

  • Front yard and exterior side yard to the garage face: minimum 6.0 m (Table 4.11.1 lines 5.1 and 6.1).
  • Interior side yard: 0.0 m on the attached side, 1.5 m on the unattached side, 1.2 m for an attached garage on the unattached side (lines 7.1-7.3).
  • Yard setbacks are also subject to Subsection 4.1.7 (setbacks to railway rights-of-way, Parkway Belt, Utility zones and pipeline easements) and Subsection 4.1.8 (setbacks to Greenlands zones) (note 1).
  • An attached garage is required and must comply with Table 4.1.12.1 - Garage Regulations (line 12.1, note 2; Subsection 4.1.12.1).
  • Minimum parking spaces per Part 3 of the by-law and Subsection 4.1.9 (line 12.2, notes 3 and 4).

  • Additional residential units: a maximum of two attached ARUs, or one attached ARU and one detached ARU, per lot (Table 4.1.1.1); a detached ARU is permitted only on corner lots and through lots (Article 4.1.1.13) and must comply with Subsection 4.1.1 and Table 4.1.1.14.
  • Roof-top external heating and/or air conditioning equipment is not permitted (Subsection 4.1.6.2).
  • All buildings and structures must also comply with Parts 1 to 3 and Section 4.1 of the by-law.
  • 61 site-specific exception zones exist (RM5-1 to RM5-61, several with sub-numbered variants, e.g. RM5-22(1)-(8), RM5-41(1)-(3), RM5-42(1)-(5)); see Section 4.11.2 and Article 1.1.2.3.
