A low-rise residential zone intended for cluster homes (several dwellings grouped on a single lot) rather than individual detached or semi-detached houses on their own lots.

Other provisions in this section

  • Section 7.1: purpose of the LN7 zone is to accommodate cluster homes on a single lot.
  • Table 7: cluster homes are the only permitted use in LN7; detached, semi-detached, all townhouse forms, apartment buildings and non-residential uses are not permitted.
  • Section 7.6 b) i): minimum separation between cluster homes on the same lot: 2.4 m side wall to side wall; 15 m rear wall to rear wall; 15 m front wall to front wall; 15 m front wall to rear wall; 8.5 m side wall to a front or rear wall.
  • Section 7.6 b) ii): minimum 1.5 m from a side wall to an internal roadway, parking aisle, parking area, parking lot or parking space.
  • Section 7.6 b) iii): minimum 3 m from a wall other than a side wall to an internal roadway, parking aisle, parking area or parking lot.
  • Section 7.6 b) iv): any pedestrian entrance facing a front yard or exterior side yard may be at most 7 stair risers above grade.
  • Table 10 note (1): rear yard (yard abutting a rear building elevation) increases to 9 m where abutting an LN3, LN4, LN5 or LN6 zone.
  • Table 10 note (2): side yard (yard abutting a side building elevation) increases to 4.5 m where abutting an LN3, LN4, LN5 or LN6 zone.
