  • Maximum impervious surface cover per lot (s.5.5, Table 9.8.1) depends on Development Area: 20% in DA 1, 2, 3, 4, 5(a), 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12; 25% in DA 5(b) and 6; DA13: elementary school 60%, detached units 20%, other permitted built forms 40%.
  • Private garage location (s.5.3): a private garage, attached or unattached, shall be located no closer to a street line than the distance between the detached dwelling and the street line.
  • Separation distance from a railway right-of-way (s.5.6): 30 m for land uses sensitive to railway rights-of-way.
  • Yard abutting a pipeline easement (s.5.6): 7 m rear yard; 3 m side yard.
  • Yard abutting a P or PC zone (s.5.6): 6 m.
  • Holding zone (s.1(a)): where the designation is preceded by 'H', permitted uses per Part 11, Subsection 1.1; development is premature until the H is removed per Part 11, Subsection 1.2.
  • Accessory buildings and structures per Part 1, Subsection 2.2; patios and decks per Part 1, Subsection 2.3; fencing and privacy screens per Part 1, Subsection 2.4; swimming pools per Part 1, Subsection 2.5.
  • Prohibited (s.2, plus Part 1 Subsection 2.22): parking or storage of a motor vehicle (excluding recreational vehicle) exceeding 3000 kg registered gross vehicle weight, 6 m overall length or 2.6 m overall height; parking or storing a motor vehicle with a stake body; parking or storing a motor vehicle on/off a trailer, or a utility trailer including its load, exceeding a combined height of 3.6 m.
